Ingredients:
- ½ Cup Unsalted Butter (1 stick)
- ¾ Cup Packed Brown Sugar
- ¾ Cup Sugar
- 2 Large Eggs
- 1 tsp Pure Vanilla Extract
- 1 12oz Bag Semisweet Chocolate Chips or Chunks
- 2 ¼ Cups All-Purpose Flour
- ¾ tsp Baking Soda
- 1 tsp Salt
- 1 5oz Bag Dried Cherries
- 1 to 2 Tbsp Flake Sea Salt such as Maldon
Preheat Oven 375
Put butter in a microwave safe dish and melt, cool slightly. In a large bowl whisk in butter, eggs, sugars and vanilla until smooth.
In a medium bowl mix 1 Tbsp of flour and stir in the chocolate chips and dried cherries. Set aside
In another bowl mix together the remaining flour, baking soda and salt. Stir the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients with a spoon, take care not to over mix. Stir in the chocolate chip mixture. Place dough in the refrigerator and chill for about 20 to 30 minutes.
Scoop cookies onto a lined baking sheet, using a 1 ½ Tbsp ice cream scoop. If cooking in batches keep dough in refrigerator until next batch. Place in oven and bake for 10 to 14 minutes or until golden brown. As soon as the cookies come out of the oven sprinkle with flaked sea salt on each cookie, cool slightly before transferring cookies to wire rack.
