A couple of heads with gears coming out of them.

Focus closely and you will start to notice amazing examples of collaboration happening extensively within your coworking space. Shared workspaces are hubs for sharing business experiences, resources, connecting prospects and just enjoying coffee with a new friend. This opportunity of sharing resources and community makes the idea of collaboration most appealing to entrepreneurs and small business owners.

Being a coworking space ourselves, we often witness the collaborative power between our Members. We feel the best amenity within a Coworking space is the opportunity to collaborate. This is where historical partnerships can be forged, and will continue to do so.

There are a multitude of ways collaboration can inspire growth between businesses. Here are a few innovative ways to harness the power:

  • Partner for Referrals: Who can I partner with to share referrals?
  • Co-host an Event: At my event, what other services can my customers benefit from?
  • Let customer needs lead the way: Who can I refer my customers to in case I need to take a break for vacation or god forbid a real emergency?
  • Co-promote Products: Can my product bundle up/package with someone else's product for a better outcome?

Collaboration in business is the future. Organizations, individuals and small businesses can gain so much more from working together, than alone. The opportunities and ideas that arise from cross-pollination of individual expertise are boundless. You get pushed in directions you might never take otherwise. Collaboration makes us better.

Take the time to introduce yourself, explain your business, and get to know what everyone within the space does. You never know when “the next step” to your success is right in front of you.
